Can anyone help? I want to "ring" more quarters on Abel, and I am now confident to add compositions from complib because in case of confusion I can check the Blue Line.

However, I am completely stumped on this one, probably because my understanding of calling Stedman is way short of what it needs to be. Can anyone help by:
    - recommending a website or book that explains calling Stedman (and all the different notations) for beginners
    - putting me out of my misery and debugging this particular composition, taken from

I recently found this guide to calling Stedman which goes through the numbered calling positions: https://wiki.changeringing.co.uk/Conducting_Stedman
Maybe the bell it is called from has plain sixes before it reaches calling position one?

But I found this because I want to learn to call Stedman so I can’t be sure.

The Stedman is full slow six start, although it doesn't tell you that. I have added it to Complib, so you can look at the rows there using the link below.

I have added "stedman with slow starts" into Abel (see below) and everything is fine until the calls start, when Abel seems to miscount the plain leads and consistently does each bob or single either one or 2 leads too soon. I have fudged the composition by adding in lots of plain calls until it works as it should, but can anyone spot what I am doing wrong? The "bug" occurs whether or not Bristol is part of the composition, so I believe the problem definitely is something in my method definition.

    Thanks

    ----------------------------------------------------
    Example:
For example, to get this fragment of the composition to work:
    Stedman 4.8.9.10.11

You would expect Abel to want:

    p p p b    p p p b b b b

But this misses lots of "Plains" so I added in 2 before the 1st bob and 2 more before the second:

    p pp pp b    p pp pp b b b b
