It's a pity that again there are only single rooms available at the AGM headquarters.

It is an unfortunate consequence of using the sorts of conference venues which are within the CC's budget, e.g. modern university campuses

surely it's not the CC's budget. After all we used to use hotels for headquarters. The reason for trying to keep the cost down was to avoid excluding CC members who were less affluent, notably those who were younger.

But the rooms at the Greenwich meeting were at least as expensive as some hotels have been.

Yes that's ls also a consideration. I really meant on economic room and facilities hire.

Does anyone know if can we book uni rooms yet

I for one am grateful for the less expensive rooms. I have for many years supported and enthusiastically helped with aspects of ART's and CCCBR's events, don't get expenses and can't afford to travel too far as well as hotel costs.... age wise I'm not younger and for some there is a need for frugality in retirement too.
The Premier Inn on site is perfectly situated btw.
