We'll be asking for information about how long you've been ringing, when you started, what sort of things you ring and where you ring.

It will be good to understand what your motivations for ringing, things you want to develop, how important different aspects of ringing are for you and your involvement with the wider ringing community.

We will not be asking any personally identifiable information and completion is entirely voluntary. We'd like to encourage all ringers to take part to ensure good coverage.

    Visit https://cccbr.org.uk/census/ for further information.

Under' what do/can you ring' will you be differentiating between what can you ring and what do you ring? We have a couple of spliced surprise ringers who support our PB5/6 band every week.
Similarly, at my ringing peak I enjoyed Stedman7 and Cambridge6 but now as my grey cells begin to fade, I limit my activities to plain methods so as not to spoil the enjoyment of others.

Yes, there are all sorts of nuances it will be difficult for a survey to capture. There is what you have rung in the past compared to what you have the capability to ring now or indeed the opportunity to ring now. There will also be many ringers who were active and capable of ringing a lot in the past, may take the Ringing World and participate socially, but are no longer fit enough to ring now, yet they are still an important part of the ringing community.
