Latest blog: ...in Jersey, ‘Plough Sunday’ ...at St John’s Church, when there would be a parade of various farm animals during the service (the geese were the best)...followed by nervous cleaners.
...we are instigating Bell Sunday... 14 May,
    Simon Linford

Do we parade ?? Followed by brooms made from old sallies, perhaps ??

I must say I hadn't hear "Belfry Praise" before, let alone sung it. I out to point out that the link from the President's blog is a bit misleading. It shows up as HAM 496, however that is only for the 1950 HAM Revised Edition. It had disappeared completely, both words and tune, in the 1983 HAM New Standard Edition.

I like the idea of Bell Sunday and I hope we can use it to raise awareness in church congregations that people ring bells, one person per bell (most of the time) and that nearly anyone can learn!
