YACR has 160 life members which is 10.8% of their total membership of 1489. Subscriptions are £12 for adults and £6 for those in full-time education.

Really can't understand the need to pussy foot around doing this in small stages. Why not just jump to £1 per ringer straight away and get these projects up and running before it's all too late. Spend the funds raised on more marketing and publicity, establishing more regional training courses, and investing more in youth ringing events. Employ someone to administer things if necessary.

Sadly YACR has much bigger problems to worry about than categories of membership. Yet unfortunately following almost 2 years of reviews it appears to be the only thing they have chosen to amend. Member apathy is of course the biggest problem with several branches barely functioning and lacking people to take office. No doubt these issues are not confined to Yorkshire.

I have obtained a copy of the book from Robert today, who needs it? It's out of print but he has no issue people using it for reference etc...it's probably somewhat out dated in parts now.
